The program was operated during the after-school hours of 2:40 PM to 5:30 PM at The James H. Vernon Middle School.
Throughout the year the Parents Committee organizes workshops and seminars to promote parental involvement in their children's education as well as ways to improve their parenting skills.
The Afterschool Enrichment Program has provided students from the Oyster Bay-East Norwich School District with supervised activities, homework help, non-competitive games, sports, cultural & civic enrichment activities, health, character and life skills education.
The Afterschool Enrichment Program has welcomed all from the OB-EN School District from grades K to 6th. One of the goals of the program was to ensure that children from low-income families where English is not the first language do not fall behind academically.
